Privacy Policy — Simple Debt Book

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Breakneck Apps ("we", "us", or "our"), developed by Pavel Brichkin, handles information in the Simple Debt Book Android application ("the App").

            Short version: Simple Debt Book stores all your financial data
            exclusively on your device and, optionally, in your personal Google Drive account.
            We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial data on our servers.
        

Data We Collect & How We Use It

Local only Financial records

Debt records, people's names, amounts, notes, goals, and finance categories are stored exclusively in a local database on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Google Drive backup feature.

Optional Contacts

The App may request access to your device contacts (READ_CONTACTS) to let you pick a contact name when creating a new debt record. We do not upload, copy, or store your contacts anywhere. Contact data is used only in-memory at the moment of selection.

Optional Biometric data

If you enable biometric lock, the App uses Android's built-in Biometric API. Fingerprint or face data is processed entirely by the Android OS and the device's secure hardware. We never access, store, or transmit any biometric data.

Third-party Advertising

The App displays advertisements provided by Yandex Mobile Ads. Yandex may collect certain device information and identifiers to serve relevant ads. Please review Yandex's privacy policy for details: yandex.com/legal/confidential.

Google Drive Backup (Optional)

The App offers an optional backup feature that saves a copy of your data to your personal Google Drive. This feature requires you to sign in with your Google account.

Your backup file is stored only in your own Google Drive account.
We do not have access to your Google account or your backup files.
The App requests the minimum necessary Google Drive scope to write and read only files it creates.
You can delete your backup at any time directly from Google Drive.

Google's privacy policy applies to data stored in Google Drive: policies.google.com/privacy.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not operate any servers that receive your data.
We do not use any analytics SDK (Firebase, Amplitude, etc.).
We do not use crash reporting services.
We do not track your behavior or usage patterns.
We do not sell or share your data with any third parties, except as described in the Advertising section above.

Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing App data via Android Settings → Apps → Simple Debt Book → Clear Data.

If you used the Google Drive backup, delete the backup file directly from your Google Drive to remove it permanently.

Children's Privacy

Simple Debt Book is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
